During the winter months, October to April, light rain and cooler days are expected with temperatures ranging from the 50s to the 70s (F). During the summer months, May to September, plenty of sunshine, warmth and some humidity are expected with temperatures in the 80s and 90s (F).

Currency: The Big Island's currency is the US Dollar ($). Credit cards are widely accepted and traveler's checks are also accepted.
Entry Requirements: Passports are not needed if you are traveling within the US. If you are traveling outside of the US to Hawaii's Big Island, you must have a passport that is valid for six months after the period of your stay.
